ZIP
Program Phases

The Stages
of the ZIP Program
| |
The
environmental knowledge assessments make up
the first stage in the process. All drafted by the same
federal-provincial team, these assessment reports constitute
the basis for discussion of the second stage. |
| |
The
public consultation, organized in each sector
by the ZIP committee, is mainly used to identify the
intervention priorities in the respective reaches of
the St. Lawrence River. |
| |
The
Ecological Remedial Action Plan, then drafted
by the ZIP committee, coordinates the actions to be
taken in accordance with the priorities identified in
the consultation. |
| Stratégies
Saint-Laurent assesses the publics contribution
to the program as being close to 100,000 hours of volunteer
work. |

The
partners have roles and responsibilities at each stage of the
ZIP program
