St. Lawrence Vision 2000 to take part in the Vrai Salon Camping, Plein air, Chasse et Pêche at Quebec City’s Centre de Foires d’ExpoCité

Québec City, March 4, 2002—Is it safe to eat St. Lawrence game fish and waterfowl? Is it safe to swim in the river? Are there any potential swimming areas along the St. Lawrence in the Quebec City region? Many of you have no doubt asked yourselves these questions. Come and meet our researchers to find out the answers.

The Human Health component of the St. Lawrence Vision 2000 (SLV 2000) program, which is jointly managed by Health Canada and the Quebec Department of Health and Social Services, is taking part in the Vrai Salon, Camping, Plein air, Chasse et Pêche at the Centre de Foires d’ExpoCité in Quebec City for the first time. Researchers will be on hand to answer your questions in the activities area on March 14, 15 and 16, 2002 as follows:

Potential swimming areas along the St Lawrence and the risk of microbiological contamination Serge Hébert March 14 from 7:30 pm to 7:45 pm
March 16 from 2 pm to 2:15 pm
Duration: 15 minutes
